Comment: I do a good amount of gaming with the laptop on my lap. Having this does cool things down nicely. My laptop is much larger than this device which was a concern of mine, but it works just fine as long as you don't forget it's there when you pickup the laptop.
Only gripe is that the fans aren't protected too well, but for the cost it's what you get.

Comment: I purchased this item for a gift and it was exactly what my daughter wanted. Using her laptop for long periods of time it keeps it from overheating and keeps her lap from overheating when she sits using in on the sofa. I was concerned as it was sent by the supplier without any instructions for how to use it and connect it to the laptop. However, my daughter knew how to hook it up.

Summary: bad connection
Comment: I own two of these laptop coolers. Bought at the same time and used with two different laptops. Both have the same problem. After about one month of use, the socket on the cooling pad works loose, so the device no longer receives power and the fans stop working. The fans do an excellent job of cooling both laptop and lap until the hardware fails.
If I could figure out how to crack the case, I might try to repair these devices. Instead, I'm shopping for another brand with better construction.
