Customer Rating: Summary: A little too flimsy Comment: the knife is a little too flimsy for practical application drills. Given how flimsy it is, it doesn't make a good knife for disarming drills or even simulated combat.
if you're running full speed drills and worried about injury, this knife is for you. If you're looking for something for disarming drills or simulated combat, get a cold steel practice knife.
Customer Rating: Summary: Too floppy for accurate cutting practice..... Comment: I own two of these practice knives......This is a decent training knife, but only for slow to medium speed practice.
As attack/defense speeds increase, the flaws in the semi-rigid blade become apparent.
When you turn your wrist (quickly) while striking, the center/end of the blade changes position to an extent that it becomes inaccurate....one can easily end up "slapping" with the blade.
When stabbing, the point has a tendency to droop and flop around, again, destroying accuracy.
If a practitioner is seeking precision in practicing stabbing and cutting a person, they are better served using a more rigid (albeit more dangerous) training blade.
Customer Rating: Summary: So so Comment: The knife is kind of cheap. All the silver pealed off pretty quickly. A bit too flexable but it serves its purpose.
Customer Rating: Summary: Do Not Order From Amazon Comment: The knife is fine, but do not order from Amazon. The entity that actually sells the product is Martial Arts Mart. They charged me $7 to ship this $3 rubber knife!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry! I will never order anything from Martial Arts Mart.
Customer Rating: Summary: Save to use for the whole family Comment: It bends, so it's save to use when practicing self defence f.i.
My kids use it also. Yet don't bend it too much, because it will tear and break.
