Customer Rating: Summary: Hard as a rock Comment: I bought this for our dog and thought it was like the other Jolly Ball (the one with a handle which is soft) but it is not. It is hard plastic so not much fun for the dog since he can't bite it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Mixed Review Comment: Our dog LOVES this ball. We really don't have any complaints with the construction of the ball...but be careful if you have a dog like ours. We have an American Bulldog who loves toys, but also loves to destroy them. There is a plug at the top of the ball to fill it with water, sand, etc. and it's recessed so that the dogs can't pull the plug. But our dog likes to hook his bottom teeth into the recessed part and then use his top teeth to try and bite it. It has left a ring of teeth marks all the way around the top of the ball. Two concerns: 1) it's hard on his teeth and 2) the teeth marks leave little bits of sharp plastic that then rub on his nose/face when he's rolling it around.
He usually only does this when he gets tired of rolling it and chasing it so we try to stop him before it happens (he only plays with it while supervised)
