Customer Rating: Summary: Missing parts Comment: Just received the perfect pullup today. The 8 wood screws and 2 side pivots are missing. I order from Amazon for the convenience and now I have to deal with this. Even to return the product is a pain in my B_tt. Not happy.
Customer Rating: Summary: perfect pullup Comment: I love this product. I use it for pullups and with the ab straps for an ab workout. It is out of the way and works my muscles like nothing else. Definitely would recommend this product. It is kind of pricey and I did wait for a sale prior to purchasing, but it was worth the wait.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best Bang for the Buck Comment: I have owned for about 2 months. I also have the ab attachments I like the exercises(as much as I like any exercise) and I have seen a lot of improvement in muscle mass/tone etc. 15 minute installation(if you have the tools-drill, 1/8"bit,supplied allen wrench, screwdriver bit for drill, tape measure). Based on other reviews, I used good quality 3" woodscrews to secure to doorway. My doorway is 6'8". I am 5' 10" tall and weight 210#. When utilizing pullup bar, my knees are about 4-5 inches off of the floor, so if you are taller than 6' tall, your knees will probably be on floor. Parts are made of a mixture of steel and plastic and are no better than they have to be, but if it is installed correctly according to instructions then this should last for many years assuming 3-4 hours actual usage per week. You can get pullup bar and ab attachement at Walmart(separately) for about $80. I hope this helps.
Customer Rating: Summary: Forewarned is fore-armed Comment: This is more of an expression of gratitude to those who send in reviews; thank you. I saw the infomercials and was intrigued. I still am, but not enough to invest. Since I am conscientious about working out for health purposes I would be a frequent user. Because of the slams about the quality of the equipment, although I do like the concept, I'll keep looking. Thanks again, for taking the time to voice your opinion. I used a single star to get attention and not as an appraisal of the apparatus.
Customer Rating: Summary: Probably the best piece of workout equipment I've ever bought... Comment: Alright, so it's the ONLY piece of workout equipment I've ever bought, but hear me out...
Ok, so I saw this on TV, you know kinda skeptical... as you should be when you see some sort of "AMAZING PRODUCT" advertised on daytime television. On the other hand, I've always wanted a pullup bar, but the regular kind cost... alot. Or require you to drill into a wall so that the huge thing of metal won't break off and kill you while doing your work.
Alright, so let's start out with the cons, yeah? Turns out, you DO have to actually screw this thing onto the door. They... don't mention that on the box. That was almost a deal breaker, having to drill into my nice laundry room door frame. But I decided to do it anyway, without MUCH difficulty... granted, the measuring and adjusting of the bar did mess me up a bit. I installed it a bit too close to my water heater, so I can't do the Standing Row... too lazy to move it. If you're tall, or extremely obese, the Perfect Pullup might be trouble for you. My brother is 6'4", and he has to pull his knees to his chest so they don't hit the ground when he's working out. (...an added bonus...?)
I think the pros... man, they more than make up for the cons mentioned in this and other reviews. The rotating handles make pullups SO much easier (I have weak wrists, so normal pull ups hurt me more than help me.) The pull up bar includes a workout sheet and 3 exercises to do... so that's awesome. Really, every thing about it is just SWELL. Seriously. Man, I can't even put it into words!
Really though, if you're looking for a workout that doesn't take hours, is effective, and shows results, Perfect Pullup is for you.
