Like countless others out there, we've been inspired by the meteoric rise of Barack Obama and his campaign. In a time when America so desperately needed a hero, along came a man to show us a brand new vision of what America and the world could be in the 21st century. In many ways, Obama is the closest thing we've ever seen to a superhero... someone who has literally inspired millions of people simultaneously to step past fear, to be brave enough to hope and to go past cynicism and imagine what we could be if we were at our best. That's the stuff of legend! And Jailbreak Toys wanted to pitch in. So in that spirit, they created the Obama Action Figure, because every superhero should have one. 6 inches tall, 8 points of articulation, window boxed and made from phthalate-free PVC. An action figure you can believe in!

Comment: I received this for Christmas. It is very entertaining to play with/look at(yes, I play with my toys). Anyway, I must confess, it doesn't look very much like him. It's got a few facial qualities that are similar, such as the ears and the lips. His head seems to be a bit too big in proportion to the rest of the body, and his legs are not quite long enough. However, I think that those two 'problems' add a certain likeness to the toy.
His head can turn and is loose enough that it can turn with ease, but firm enough that you know it isn't going anywhere. His arms, however, are very, very loose. I will probably be tightening the joints(by the way, if you have figures that need their joints tightened, look online for some good tips).
Overall, a good gift, a nice piece of merchandise, and a great product.

Comment: Hopefully the company will come out with a whole line of Obama "Guys in my Neighbor-Hoods" figures; a racist toy Rev. Wright, terrorist Ayes, slum-lord Rezko and Gov. Rod "&^%$!" Blagojevich. Maybe they'll even release a Obama in prison orange fatigues action figure.
One can only "hope."

Comment: I bought this toy in a spirit of Hope. Hope in the future. Hope in Democracy. Hope in higher taxes for the rich. I did not expect to receive Hope from Arkansas. While this new toy does not resemble the last toy I received from this manufacturer, I was surprised that it came with many of the same accessories. I mean, would you expect Barbie and Skipper to share Ken? Barack even came with the same baggage the last toy had. But I remain ever hopeful. I truely believe that this toy will deliver. I just wish it would stop asking me for money.
