I think either they were mislabeled or their size chart is off. I had to send it back. If you buy a set but a size smaller than it tells you to. I bought a medium and have to be a little careful because they will occasionally creep down. If you normally wear a medium and like your clothes to be a little baggy, then go ahead and get a medium. If you want your clothes to hug your curves a little more I would probably go with a size small.
