Customer Rating: Summary: It Happened on 5th Avenue Comment: This is a classic movie that should be watched by everyone! Our President elect should consider this idea as a solution to the homeless and jobless situations we have now. Much like the aftermath of World War II, we have many jobless people who would love to fix up the housing on the now closed Army, Airforce, Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard bases. This would provide jobs and homes, and kick start our economy in a way that a useless check (gone in a day!) never could.
This is a happy, funny, upbeat movie for ANY time of the year!
Customer Rating: Summary: FABULOUS Comment: This is an absolutely wonderful film. I'm so glad it finally came out on DVD.
Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful Story Set At Holiday Time!! Comment: I Have Looked For This Movie For Years!!! Finally Seeing It Again, I Must Say It's As Good As I Remember!!!! A Fantastic Cast And A Warm Plot Makes For A Wonderful Old-Time Film Set During The Holdays!!!! Gale Storm & Don DeFore Are Simply Fantastic!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Skipper-The Early Years Comment: Marketed by Warners as a holiday film this barely qualifies with a brief Christmas scene at the end. What the makers are trying to capture is a Capra-esque feel and they nearly succeed. They don't quite meet those lofty heights but they have concocted a disarmingly amusing confection. And Gale Storm is as cute as a button. About the only real criticism I have is the flick suffers a tad from overlength particularly for a comedy. Otherwise, it's not a bad way to while away the winter months.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nothing to Do with Christmas! Comment: What Einstein thought that showing a Christmas tree for 5 minutes constitutes marketing this as a Christmas movie? Cutesy but boring plot and quite forgetable. Thank heaven I have learned to rent first before buying!
